Ethnic Equality Policy at Peakflow MTB

This ethnic equality policy further expands our vision on diversity and inclusion. While inclusion is about ensuring everyone can participate, this policy specifically focuses on preventing and combating racism, ethnic exclusion, and unequal treatment within mountain biking.

We recognize that ethnic background, skin color, or cultural context can influence how safe, welcoming, and equal someone experiences sports. Therefore, we explicitly take responsibility for this.

Why a separate ethnic equality policy is needed

Mountain biking is often seen as open and free, but even within the sport, structural or subtle forms of exclusion can occur. Think of stereotyping, unequal opportunities, or the neglect of experiences.

With this policy, Peakflow MTB aims to:

This policy aligns with our inclusive values, but addresses ethnic equality more explicitly.

Our ambitions for ethnic equality

At Peakflow MTB we strive for:

This ethnic equality policy takes shape through targeted actions:

Awareness & knowledge

We address issues such as prejudice, micro-aggression, and cultural sensitivity within our organization and collaborations.

Fair and transparent choices

Trainers, coaches, and partners are selected based on clear, objective criteria. Their origins or cultural background play no role.

Safe signaling

We encourage a culture in which experiences of ethnic exclusion can be discussed and taken seriously.

Inclusive visual language & communication

Our communication connects with different backgrounds and avoids stereotyping or exclusion in language and images.

Human & inspiring

Peakflow MTB is committed to a mountain biking community where background never determines how far someone can grow. We continue to listen, learn, and refine our policies where necessary.

Ethnic equality is not an end point, but an ongoing process of conscious action and responsibility on and off the trail.

Together we ensure a sport in which respect, safety and equality are self-evident.
