Toon has been training me for a few months now, both towards and during my MTB marathon season. He doesn't just focus on cycling, but also on overall strength and mental strength. Before this, I was training with a training schedule app, and while it's much cheaper, it completely lacks the personal attention and guidance. Toon calls every week and genuinely listens to how things are going, adjusting and pushing where possible. I would recommend him to everyone; Toon's experience can really help anyone, experienced or inexperienced, achieve their athletic goals!

Well worth it! As a slightly advanced mountain biker, I was looking for specific training for my work as a hang glider pilot: getting fit and staying fit. I was already doing quite a bit of exercise, but it was very one-sided. Toon quickly spotted some weaknesses and injuries, and we practically trained them out. I'm much stronger now and can handle my work and exercise much better. The program is tailored to what I need for my work and cycling. It's varied, dynamic, sometimes demanding with challenging exercises and then enjoying the outdoors, with the added bonus of regular mountain bike technique training, where I can immediately see whether I've trained enough or not! Any downsides? The coach could be a bit stricter when I miss some workouts... because no matter how easy the program is, you still have to do the training yourself 😅

013 with a mission
After a nasty slide in Amerongen and a sore knee, I thought, I'd call it a day for the summer. Then I stumbled upon Peakflow MTB in the parking lot. I fixed the bike, put on a band-aid, and decided to give it a try! Now, seven months later, I'm really fit again. My knee is working again, and the fun is back. My coach is building it up smartly and with a nice variety, focusing on technique and the occasional tough workout. Thanks, just what I needed.

I recently completed the advanced MTB clinic for the second time. We worked at a sort of bike park, where we practiced downhill cornering. We did steep drops and climbed tables. Then we applied that to a section of trail. I conquered some serious obstacles. The drop into a two-meter-deep hole was a particular victory. I'm now heading to Austria with 100% more confidence.

I've been doing it for four months now and it's really going well. Having a weekly schedule and weekly contact with Toon is great. You can clearly see progress in training peaks, but you also feel your physical strength increasing. You also get helpful training tips. Currently, I'm doing kneading exercises in a bowl of rice for grip strength.

Attended my first advanced clinic in Hellendoorn. Toon is an enthusiastic, pleasant, and knowledgeable instructor who clearly explains the important body positioning elements for turns, climbs, descents, and short drops. Lots of information, now to practice!

I took a private clinic with Toon at the Hellendoorn location. I wanted to improve my technique in corners, ride down hills in a controlled manner (anyone can do it straight), learn the technique of a drop, and maybe even try a bit of rock gardening. I described myself as an advanced beginner. All of the above was discussed beforehand. Not a single minute was wasted during the clinic. It started in the parking lot with a bike check and then some exercises with cones. The brief instructions quickly led to significant changes for me on the bike. Courage isn't just about gaining speed or altitude, but also about following the instructor's instructions and experiencing that it works. Toon, thanks for the incredibly cool day. Our family had a fantastic clinic at Soulride. With excellent instruction from a very experienced instructor, we learned a lot and racked up some great miles in Hellendoorn. Definitely do it, don't hesitate about the XC marathon program. I've been following the training and coaching program for an MTB Marathon for almost six months now and I'm extremely satisfied. It might not be the cheapest option, but you really get a lot in return. The program is completely tailored to my body, goals, and available time. If something comes up, the schedule is quickly adjusted, and there's weekly contact to discuss everything. Not only the cycling gets attention, but also core, stretching, and the mental part—something I hadn't considered beforehand, but which has proven to be incredibly valuable. And if you're going too fast, Toon is there to put the brakes on in time. After six months, I clearly feel stronger and my fitness has improved considerably.

This MTB course is highly recommended, even if you already have some mountain biking experience. I regularly ride MTB trails, but I'd never participated in a clinic/course before. I occasionally encountered difficulties, especially when things got technical. The course is very well-structured, and a lot of content is covered. Techniques for looking, posture, cornering, control, pedal pressure, and so on. Moreover, they carefully consider what someone can (already) do, and of course, what they can improve and how to achieve it. And all of this in a very fun way! It has given me a lot of confidence on the mountain bike. I'll definitely be back for a follow-up clinic!
