The Nukeproof Mega Carbon 297 is the fourth generation of the Mega, the enduro bike that has won four EWS overall titles and multiple stage victories on the World Series circuit. The frame uses a spring-mount linkage where the shock is mounted within the frame, providing progressive suspension, high pedal efficiency, and predictable behavior on technical terrain. The 297 configuration rides 29″ front and 27.5″ rear, with 165mm rear travel and a 170mm fork.
The Mega started as Sam Hill's race bike, purposefully built for the Megavalanche in Alpé d'Huez, one of the toughest mass-start downhill races in the world. That DNA is still in the fourth-generation frame: efficient enough to climb for an hour, fast enough to win a full EWS stage. The Nukeproof Mega is an enduro bike that revolves around balance, predictability, and pure speed. Built to dominate the descent and purposefully optimized for the legendary MEGAVALANCHE enduro race in the French Alps.
The framesets are also available separately, including rear suspension, in the color scheme of your choice.
This way, you build your own dream setup — from frame to finishing touch.

Over the past decade, the Mega has built a reputation as a race-winning machine, with multiple stage victories in the Enduro World Series and four EWS overall titles. It is the result of relentless development and refinement, shaped by feedback from world-class riders and dedicated competitors.
Now in its fourth generation, every detail of the Mega has been optimized for speed, control, and efficiency. Built to go all out — wherever the trail leads.
Both mountain bikes ride a mixed-wheel 297 configuration. Yet they are fundamentally different bikes. The Mega has a “four-bar linkage” system for greater pedal efficiency. The Giga shares the suspension travel platform with the Dissent by having more travel volume, resulting in more DH feel.
The Mega 297 is the right choice if you ride serious enduro, technical descents, long climbs, and varied terrain. The Giga is a better fit if you want the travel volume and confidence of a downhill bike, with the ability to do the climbing yourself.
On the descent, the 64° head tube angle is slightly steeper than on the Giga, which makes the bike more direct and responsive on less extreme terrain.
The Mega has 165mm of rear travel, is more pedal-efficient, and is geared more towards racing and varied enduro terrain. The Giga shares the suspension travel platform with the Dissent, has 180mm of travel on both sides, and sits closer to a mini DH. The Mega climbs better. The Giga goes deeper into the terrain.
Yes. The Mega has been the EWS overall winner four times and has achieved multiple stage victories on the track. It has been used by professional enduro mountain bikers at the highest level. For national or international competitions, the Mega is a proven choice.
